On 16th February 2024, the company received formal requests through the District Commissioner’s office for support towards two significant events: the International Women’s Day scheduled for 8th March and Youth Day on 12th March. The Women’s Day committee requested a cash donation of K15, 000 to aid various activities aimed at empowering and recognizing the contributions of women in the community. Meanwhile, the Youth Day organizing committee appealed for 70 units of 240L waste bins to promote cleanliness and environmental conservation during their celebrations.

In response to these appeals, Sinomine Kitumba Minerals Company Limited demonstrated its dedication to fostering social wellbeing and environmental responsibility by presenting K10, 000 in cash to each committee on 5th March 2024. A total of K20, 000 was contributed to both. These contributions are expected to significantly support the planned activities for both commemorations and enhancing the impact of these important community events.
