As the old saying goes, ‘your neighbor is your closest relative’, Sinomine Kitumba Minerals Company Limited proudly collaborated with the Zambia National Service (ZNS), Mumbwa Unit, to assist with vital road maintenance works aimed at improving accessibility and safety.

On 12th February 2026, ZNS Mumbwa requested Sinomine Kitumba Minerals to dispatch a tipper truck and a Tractor Loader Backhoe (TLB) to help repair the gravel road that had developed dangerous gullies along a one-kilometer stretch between the junction and the unit. Recognizing the importance of supporting community infrastructure and neighborly cooperation, Sinomine promptly mobilized the requested equipment.

On 3rd March 2026, the Sinomine team, led by the Deputy Mine Manager, successfully executed the gravel load transportation and road patching operations, filling the gullies and restoring safe passage along this critical stretch of the service road. The timely intervention ensured that ZNS personnel, vehicles, and community members accessing health services could continue their important duties without interruption or hazard caused by deteriorated road conditions.
